No, and no vendor sells software outright. You own the appliance and the data on its disk, and you hold a perpetual license to run DilloLex OS on it. The software itself remains our property and is licensed, not sold. The practical difference from a subscription is that the license does not expire and there is no server we can switch off.
Ask on the call. It is a capital purchase and most firms treat it that way, but the structure is negotiable.

Where the files go, and where they don’t.
No. All AI reasoning runs on the appliance in your office. There is no third-party AI processor in the loop, which is the whole architectural point.
No, and any vendor claiming that about a machine that syncs your storage is being loose with the truth. It accepts no inbound connections and sends no client content to an outside AI service, but it does reach the cloud storage and managed-service tools your firm selects. You keep the appliance and the license, and it keeps working. There is no server we can switch off that stops your firm from opening a matter.
OCR, drafting and verification keep working on your local network. The only things that pause are the ones that were always remote: cloud storage sync and reference-law updates.
It is hardware, so it can. Your matter files live where they always did — your local path or mapped drive — so a replacement machine picks up where the last one stopped.
Yes, which is why nothing it produces is filed unread. Citations carry a status and no citation reaches the verified state without a person opening it. Proposed deadlines are proposals until someone approves them. The supervising attorney remains responsible for all of it.
