Hardware went up. Our price came down.

DilloLex is now $10,000 one time, plus your hardware. That is $5,000 less than before, to absorb most or all of the hardware price increase the maker announced on October 2.

A worldwide shortage of computer memory has pushed up the price of the hardware DilloLex runs on. On October 2, the maker raised the list price of the full 128 GB appliance to about $6,950, up from about $4,000 a year ago. Retailers now charge roughly $6,500 to $9,900 for 128 GB models. The maker also introduced a 64 GB model with half the memory and half the storage for $4,999, which is more than the full model cost at launch.

We don't think a law firm should pay for a memory shortage. Our goal is to lower firms' overhead so they can pass the savings on to their clients. So we have cut the DilloLex license from $15,000 to $10,000, one time, with no seat fees and no renewals. It is one license for the whole system: more than 430 tools and thousands of workflows, running on a box in your office.

The $5,000 cut absorbs most or all of the hardware increase. Starting today, a firm pays about what it would have paid a year ago, and $5,000 less than our old price would cost at today's hardware prices.

Hardware prices are set by the maker and its partners, vary by seller, and may change. We quote the current figure when you order.
